In an emergency

What is this website? このサイトについて

Mishima Report Lab (みしま通報ラボ) is a free, volunteer-run website. It is not operated by Mishima City and is not an official government service.

We do two things: (1) explain, in plain Japanese, how everyday procedures in Mishima work (moving in, garbage, childcare, taxes, disaster preparation), and (2) let residents report local problems such as broken streetlights, damaged roads, or park equipment.

Free consultation in your language 外国人相談窓口(無料)

The city has a consultation desk for foreign residents. You can ask about daily life, procedures, schools, health insurance, and more.

三島市 国際交流室 / Mishima International Relations Tel: 055-983-2645
Email: kokusai@city.mishima.shizuoka.jp
Support in English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish (other languages via interpretation tools).

Official city information for foreign residents 三島市公式の外国人向けページ

Mishima City publishes multilingual information on medical care, schools, disaster preparedness, and Japanese language study on its official page:

The official city website also has an English version (automatic machine translation). Look for the language link at the top of the official pages.

Using this site このサイトの使い方

The pages on this site are written in Japanese only. To read them in your language, use your browser’s translation feature (for example, “Translate page” in Chrome or Safari).

The main section is the 暮らしの手引き (Living Guide). Each article tells you where to go, what to bring, and by when for one procedure, and links to the matching official city page.

Reporting a local problem 通報・相談について

You can report problems such as broken streetlights, potholes, or illegal dumping through the 通報フォーム.

The report form accepts Japanese text only — this is to prevent spam, and because the volunteers who check each report read Japanese. If you need to report something and cannot write in Japanese, please contact the International Relations desk above, or ask a Japanese-speaking friend to help.

Disaster preparedness 防災

Japan has earthquakes and typhoons. Check your hazard map and nearest evacuation site before a disaster happens.

This site is an unofficial, individually operated project. Information is summarised from public sources and may become out of date. Always confirm procedures, fees, and opening hours with the Mishima City official website or the relevant city office before you act.
